Computer generated images ( CGI’s ) or 3 dimensional rendering has changed the face of new homes marketing and brought an early sense of visualisation to the buyer. This ability to see the final product at an early stage often way ahead of construction has become an excellent tool to the real estate industry.
The advantage of winning forward sales at such an early stage of procurement is enormous and CGI’s can often be considered as paying for themselves over and over again.
The creation of CGI’s has spawned a new industry which has become known as Architectural Visualisation.
Architectural Visualisation is the terminology used in the construction industry when a CGI is used to create an image of a future real estate project. Its values when submitted with a planning application are tremendous as it enables the planning officials to immediate see the architects vision.
Often CGI’s are merged with existing street photos to show how the site road scene will appear once the development has been completed. This is referred to as Photomontage and can show the surrounding properties and landscaping.
Here are some examples of previous CGi projects.
